Cahootie Toys are a modern and durable version of the folded paper "Fortune Teller" or "Cootie Catcher" games that we used to make when we were little. This new version is made from rip resistant material and comes with 40 re-positionable fun quiz or "fortune" stickers. Some themes include: Sporty Girls, Wishes & Dreams, Birthday Wishes and Truth or Dare.  We came across Cahootie's line of games when we were at the mall a few weeks ago and the girls - ages 5 and 7 - loved them. I knew that I would be reviewing these cute toys soon but I went ahead and bought them one because: 1)the girls loved them, 2)I knew they would occupy them on the ride home and 3) they were under $5 after my Justice coupon discount!

My Take:  We love Cahootie! Cahootie is an inexpensive game that sparks conversations about fond memories from the past, plus it is a fun way to learn new, interesting facts about your kids, friends and family!! 

I took the Cahootie to a church social function and the grown ups played with it as much as the kids did. Everyone kept saying things like, "I remember when we made these in school!" or "OH how cute! I forgot about these!"  I found it to be a fantastic game that encourages social interaction. Breaking out the Cahootie is the perfect way to break the ice at parties because it encourages everyone to communicate while having a fantastic time. My daughter is five and she can't read the questions that come with the Cahootie but she still loves playing with it and answering the questions when we read them to her. Even the boys enjoyed Cahootie and we all had a blast with the fun questions and answers.

The recommended ages for Cahootie are 7-12 and I agree with these guidelines. While younger kids do have fun playing along, the older kids easily grasped the concept and they could read the questions with no problems. The questions are on re-positionable stickers and the Birthday Diva Cahootie includes questions similar to these: What is your favorite part about your birthday? If you could invite anyone in the world to your party, who would you invite? What is your favorite kind of birthday cake? 

I love that the questions help you learn fun things about your friends and family. I also found that the questions led us to conversations about our memories, favorite things and our wishes for the future. What a perfect game for a family night. Also, the price is great at just $5.99-you can't beat that! I can't wait until my daughter's upcoming birthday party - Cahootie will be a fantastic way to get the party going!

My Take: I know that Oral Care for a birthday gift may be stretching it but some kids are obsessed with oral hygiene - it's true! I was one of them. This trait sadly was not passed through the gene pool though. I do obsess over my daughter's teeth, while she could care less. Frequently, I try to brush them at night while she's sleeping (CRAZY MAMA Alert!) but it seldom works. I am always worried that she didn't brush well enough and that she's going to have a mouth full of cavities. So when I heard about EvoraKids Probiotic Oral Care, you know I was super excited.  
Of course I love this product! It fights harmful bacteria in my child's mouth and helps maintain healthy teeth. It is free of artificial ingredients and is 100% natural. What is not to like? 

My daughter's take: She was ready to take an EvoraKids tablet the minute she saw the fairy on the box. My Take: A plush toy that combines two things that every little girl loves: Pets and Cupcakes-how could anyone NOT love PetCakes? I knew that my little girl would go crazy over these because she is obsessed with owning every plush Dog that she sees and if it is frilly, pink & wearing a hat or hair bow, then she really goes nuts over it. From the moment she saw the PetCakes website, she talked about them nonstop for a week straight until ours arrived in the mail. She was thrilled of course when I presented her with "Coco Coconut"- the adorable poodle with pink frosting and a cherry on top. The real test though was whether or not she would still be playing with Coco a week later - I am happy to say that her PetCakes pup has taken the place of honor as favorite toy and Coco has been with us everywhere we've gone the past several days! We received the four PetCakes that make up Series 1. Since I know how much she loves these and because her birthday is coming up, I hid the other three PetCakes to give her as a big birthday surprise. I know that I will be purchasing a few PetCakes from the latest series for Christmas Gifts or Stocking Stuffers! They are perfect gifts for any occasion and I have a feeling that PetCakes will be one of the hottest gifts this holiday season.

My Take: I screened my copy of Balloonatiks:The Collectors Set for three children: 2 boys, age 3 & 7 and 1 girl, age 5. They were all captivated by the DVD and I wish I had been able to record their reactions. They were laughing out loud and having a great time watching it. Besides the fact that Balloonatiks humor and animation is perfect for their age group, I think the fact that it is something totally new really interested the older two. They have all wanted to watch it again since the first viewing. 

I think this is a great animated DVD for all kids between the ages of 3 and 8 years old, possibly for older kids too. There are both girl and boy super hero characters, which I love. I like that the humor is directed at kids, not adults. It drives me crazy when I am watching a cartoon, supposedly designed for kids, and the jokes are directed at the grown ups. This DVD was clearly created for kids and the animation, music, action and adventures are sure to keep your children fully entertained. They will ask to watch it again and again. Luckily, it is not annoying like many kids cartoons so you won't mind watching along.

5 Year Old Girl's Take: "I LOVE it!" When asked why: "BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY and I like Balloonatiks!"
