Jumbies Giveaway: GREAT Holiday Gift & Birthday Gala Giveaway #6

Jumbies are new plush toys that are being hailed as "the next beanie babies." We were lucky enough to receive two Jumbie pets to review and my little girl loves them. The note that came with the toys suggested hiding the Jumbies in the house, reading the story to your kids then having them look around to find where the "Stork" left their Jumbies. I did this and my little girl had the best time hearing the story then finding her new pets! Each Jumbie Pet comes with a book that tells the story of Jumbies - it is extremely cute! So far, 12 different Jumbies have been "discovered" in JumbieLand. Read below to find out about these great little baby animals.

The Story of Jumbies:

There were more babies being born than ever before. The storks had to deliver them from shore to shore.  They had to deliver them in the north, south, east and west.

There was so much to do they had little time for rest. It began to get very confusing on where they had to go. Some storks turned left when they should have turned right. Some storks flew all day when they should have flown at night. Then it began to happen in a flash! One by one they started to CRASH!!!

When the storks crashed and tumbled, it appeared all the animal babies were jumbled! The storks could not believe their eyes. These babies were quite a surprise. They still looked very lovable and sweet. But they were very different from their head to their feet.

There were no more zebras orelephants. But they found lots and lots of Zelephants! They looked for giraffesand buffaloes. But the storks only foundGiraffaloes! These jumbled babies became a new breed. So they called them JUMBiES the storks agreed.

Now since all the babies were a jumbled mix. The storks had a problem that was not easy to fix. It was not clear where these little ones were suppose to go. These babies were jumbled up so the storks did not know. They took the JUMBiES to a place with palm trees and white sand. The storks called this beautiful island JUMBiELAND.

But the JUMBiES still needed homes where they would be cared for. So the storks flew everywhere on earth and knocked on every door. The storks found homes with loving girls and boys. The JUMBiES have given them many new joys.

My Take: I think that Jumbies are adorable. They are perfect stocking stuffers, and they would make a great gift for any occasion. I also think that Jumbies would be fantastic party favors! I love the story book that comes with the Jumbies and I think it's great that the parents are asked to make the Jumbies experience interactive by having the kids find their Jumbie Pets in a treasure hunt, after you read them the story of Jumbies.  We had so much fun with the book, looking for the baby Jumbies, then playing with the cute toys. My five year old daughter loves them and has asked for "Dingbat" and a couple of others for Christmas.

Waist-Eez Review: Easy Belt for Girls - "For Stylish Youngsters On the Go"

WAIST-EEZ Easy Belt for Girls

Waist-Eez from Jeri Jay is a new type of belt for young girls. It comes in two sizes: Size 4-8 for children age 4-8 and Sizes 8-12 for girls aged 8-12. The belt fastens at the back of the pants and does not have to be unbuckled or touched once it's on. So that means no unbuckling for the restroom all day! 

My Take: The Waist-Eez belt is not only super convenient, it is also cute and stylish. My 5 year old loved the rhinestone flower details and actually wore blue jeans just so she could wear her new "eez belt". She hardly EVER wears jeans so I was thrilled that since we've had the eez belt, she's worn jeans four times!!

You don't have to remove your Waist-Eez until you want to place it on a new pair of pants. You even leave it on the pants while you wash them! It is so convenient to be able to place the belt on a pair of my daughter's pants that are a little too big in the waist and know that I don't have to bother with the pants again until they get a little snug. The belt has held up through 3 washes so far and there is no sign of wear and tear at all. My daughter is rough on clothes so that is really saying something. Also, she is extremely sensitive when it comes to clothing and she LOVES belts and is always begging for me to buy her a new one but she can't stand the feeling of regular belts. She has a sensory problem and while she loves the look of belts, she isn't able to wear anything fitted around her waist. She was really proud to be able to wear the Waist-Eez belt and it didn't bother her at all. In fact it actually helped her to wear jeans - we buy them big so they don't rub her waist but then they usually drive her crazy because they won't stay up. The eez belt is adjustable so she was able to wear her jeans comfortably for a change! I like that you can buy clothes a size or two larger than you need, attach the WAIST-EEZ belt, then adjust accordingly as your child grows into their pants or jeans. This is especially great when I find a pair of larger pants on clearance!

My Take: I screened my copy of Balloonatiks:The Collectors Set for three children: 2 boys, age 3 & 7 and 1 girl, age 5. They were all captivated by the DVD and I wish I had been able to record their reactions. They were laughing out loud and having a great time watching it. Besides the fact that Balloonatiks humor and animation is perfect for their age group, I think the fact that it is something totally new really interested the older two. They have all wanted to watch it again since the first viewing. 

I think this is a great animated DVD for all kids between the ages of 3 and 8 years old, possibly for older kids too. There are both girl and boy super hero characters, which I love. I like that the humor is directed at kids, not adults. It drives me crazy when I am watching a cartoon, supposedly designed for kids, and the jokes are directed at the grown ups. This DVD was clearly created for kids and the animation, music, action and adventures are sure to keep your children fully entertained. They will ask to watch it again and again. Luckily, it is not annoying like many kids cartoons so you won't mind watching along.

5 Year Old Girl's Take: "I LOVE it!" When asked why: "BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY and I like Balloonatiks!"
