Helpful Info for New Coupon/Deals Shoppers: What are Register Rewards from Walgreen's?

If you are new to coupons and drugstore deal shopping,  you may wonder what the heck is a Walgreen's Register Reward?

Register Rewards are Catalina coupons that print out at the register, separate from your receipt. You can use your RR on  your next purchase and it's like using cash, but there are restrictions. 

You get RRs when you make a qualifying purchase on eligible items. You can find Register Reward deals listed in Walgreen's ads and in store. You can only get one Register Reward per deal in the same transaction. You can, however, purchase different Register Reward deals in one transaction. I know this may sound confusing so here's an example:

If Walgreen's had these RR deals:

purchase Sobe for .99 and get back .99 RR

purchase Rimmel Mascara for $5 get back $2 RR

And I purchased 3 Sobes and 1 Rimmel Mascara, I would get only ONE  (1) RR for the Sobe deal and 1 RR for the Rimmel Mascara deal.
