Skillet Bacon Jam Review:DELICIOUS

“May I have Bacon Jam with my toast please?” That may sound strange but bacon jam is a condiment that we’ve been eating A LOT of these days.

WHAT IS Bacon Jam?
Skillet Bacon Jam is a spread made from niman ranch bacon, onions, balsamic vinegar and a bunch of other spices. When I first heard of it, I honestly thought that I would not like it. My family loves bacon though so I thought that I would give it a try. I don’t like onions AT ALL and I’m not a huge fan of bacon. I can taste onions in ANYTHING normally but not in the bacon jam! When my jar came in the mail a few weeks ago, I was a little scared to try it but I spread a bit of bacon jam on the bread before I made a grilled cheese-from the first bite, I was hooked. The rest of the family was as well. We had it on cheeseburgers a couple of times and it made the burger go from good to gourmet! I also put it on toast, made a BLT - actually a BJLT. I used the bacon jam instead of bacon and I added a little cheese - it was so yummy!! When I first mentioned bacon jam to my mom, she said  “ew”. Then she tied a bite of my grilled cheese and, like everyone else, she was hooked.
Actually, today she made potato pancakes (similar to hash browns) and thought that they would be awesome with bacon jam so she asked me to get online and order a jar for her since the sample jar was finished off a while ago. Her request reminded me that I needed to let all of you know about Skillet Street Foods and their awesome, addictive Skillet Bacon Jam Spread.
If you’re wondering whether kids like it: My daughter, who is five, also hates onions. She took one look at the bacon jam and decided that she would never ever touch it. She DID love the aroma though. I knew that she’d never knowingly try it, so sneakily put some on her cheeseburger and she absolutely loved it. From them on, she wanted it on grilled cheese and cheese toast on a daily basis.
A little bit of Skillet Bacon Jam goes a long way but we still went through our sample pretty quickly since we were eating it on just about everything.  It tastes best and spreads better when it’s at room temperature but you have to keep it refrigerated after opening, so I suggest scooping out a bit and microwaving it for a few secs. A jar lasts for 12 weeks after it’s opened. I highly recommend Skillet Bacon Jam to ANYONE who isn’t vegetarian - if you eat meat and like bacon even a little bit, you will LOVE Skillet Bacon Jam!

Buy It: You can purchase Skillet Bacon Jam for $14 from at this link. For the best value, you can get three jars for just $39. It is worth it!

Hmmm...I will have to mention this to my husband! I've never heard of it, but he's a huge fan of bacon. :)

BTW, I'm following you back from SocialMoms. Following you on GFC, Facebook, NetworkedBlogs, and Twitter. Oh--thought I should mention that your "Follow Me" Twitter floater on the right side led to a page that didn't exist...I was able to sign up with your icon at the top of the page, though. :)
