My Take: I love that EvoraPlus not only whitens teeth, it also works to freshen breath and creates an environment for optimal oral health. From the time I was 4 years old, I have been fanatical about taking care of my teeth. From expensive electric tooth brushes, to "water picks" and mouthwashes, I've tried nearly every dental care product on the market. I have also tried many teeth whiteners that irritated my gums and some that were full of harmful chemicals. There are many teeth whitening strips that only whiten the front teeth and these are not effective for me due to dental work that was required after I had a bicycle accident. Since EvoraPlus is all natural, it has no  harmful side effects, in fact the effects from this product are the opposite of harmful. It works on all your teeth-not just the front- with no messy gels, trays or strips. You simply let the mint dissolve in  your mouth. EvoraPlus has a very pleasant, minty flavor and I take it twice a day after brushing and flossing. I love that it not only works to whiten my teeth, it also fights the bacteria that causes bad breath and tooth decay.  Unlike most mouth rinses, which only mask odors and can actually cause dry mouth which contributes to the problem, EvoraPlus keeps working all day to freshen breath by fighting the bacteria that causes bad breath. I was actually taking it incorrectly at first by chewing the mint, then I read this: "When the EvoraPlus mint melts on the tongue, the freeze-dried probiotics activate and attach themselves to the teeth and gum tissue, establishing colonies of active bacteria both on the surface of the teeth and deep beneath the gum line." So now I know that I need to let it dissolve completely to get the full benefits. Also a plus for me is that EvoraPlus works to fight the bacteria that I can't reach or clean with brushing and flossing: due to the previously mentioned bicycle accident years ago, I knocked out a tooth, now I have dental work - 3 veneers or caps and one fake tooth, all together in one piece of dental work - a bridge I guess - but EvoraPlus is the first product that can actually get inside the gum line and maintain optimal oral health around the dental work. This is also a great system for anyone with braces, caps, dentures, etc. I can honestly say that I will purchase EvoraPlus and continue taking this system because my oral health is extremely important to me.

My Take: I know that Oral Care for a birthday gift may be stretching it but some kids are obsessed with oral hygiene - it's true! I was one of them. This trait sadly was not passed through the gene pool though. I do obsess over my daughter's teeth, while she could care less. Frequently, I try to brush them at night while she's sleeping (CRAZY MAMA Alert!) but it seldom works. I am always worried that she didn't brush well enough and that she's going to have a mouth full of cavities. So when I heard about EvoraKids Probiotic Oral Care, you know I was super excited.

My Take: A plush toy that combines two things that every little girl loves: Pets and Cupcakes-how could anyone NOT love PetCakes? I knew that my little girl would go crazy over these because she is obsessed with owning every plush Dog that she sees and if it is frilly, pink & wearing a hat or hair bow, then she really goes nuts over it. From the moment she saw the PetCakes website, she talked about them nonstop for a week straight until ours arrived in the mail. She was thrilled of course when I presented her with "Coco Coconut"- the adorable poodle with pink frosting and a cherry on top. The real test though was whether or not she would still be playing with Coco a week later - I am happy to say that her PetCakes pup has taken the place of honor as favorite toy and Coco has been with us everywhere we've gone the past several days! We received the four PetCakes that make up Series 1. Since I know how much she loves these and because her birthday is coming up, I hid the other three PetCakes to give her as a big birthday surprise. I know that I will be purchasing a few PetCakes from the latest series for Christmas Gifts or Stocking Stuffers! My Take: I screened my copy of Balloonatiks:The Collectors Set for three children: 2 boys, age 3 & 7 and 1 girl, age 5. They were all captivated by the DVD and I wish I had been able to record their reactions. They were laughing out loud and having a great time watching it. Besides the fact that Balloonatiks humor and animation is perfect for their age group, I think the fact that it is something totally new really interested the older two. They have all wanted to watch it again since the first viewing. 

I think this is a great animated DVD for all kids between the ages of 3 and 8 years old, possibly for older kids too. There are both girl and boy super hero characters, which I love. I like that the humor is directed at kids, not adults. It drives me crazy when I am watching a cartoon, supposedly designed for kids, and the jokes are directed at the grown ups. This DVD was clearly created for kids and the animation, music, action and adventures are sure to keep your children fully entertained. They will ask to watch it again and again. Luckily, it is not annoying like many kids cartoons so you won't mind watching along.

5 Year Old Girl's Take: "I LOVE it!" When asked why: "BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY and I like Balloonatiks!"

Shampowder Dry Shampoo Review:A Divalicious Beauty Essential

My Take: I really wanted to try Shampowder because I have extremely sensitive skin and frequent shampooing severely irritates my scalp. I have tried other Dry Shampoos in the form of sprays and traditional powder that you have to shake or sprinkle on your hair. I found the sprinkle on powder to be messy and inconvenient. In both the spray powder and sprinkle on powder, the product comes out in bursts and you have to try to rub the product in and brush it repeatedly to distribute the product throughout your hair. Often, they can leave a white powdery residue on your hair and scalp. Plus it is nearly impossible to get the product where you want it.

Shampowder found a solution to this dilemma though. By putting the talc free mineral pigments in a convenient brush applicator, you can apply as much as you need, where you need it. Also, Shampowder comes in three different shades which allows the powder to easily blend with nearly any hair color. 

My hair is very fine and tends to look yucky if I don't shampoo it at least once a day. As I mentioned above, frequent shampooing irritates my scalp. The oil absorbing, talc free formula in Shampowder not only refreshes my hair, it also helps me achieve healthier hair and scalp because it makes daily shampooing unnecessary. Another benefit is when I use Shampowder, it provides much needed body to my fine hair. I also love the light, subtle vanilla fragrance that works to deodorize your hair. 

To apply Shampowder, you simply dab the brush where  your hair needs to be refreshed. When you first receive Shampowder, you just remove the seal, hold the brush downwards, with the cap on, and tap the side of the container to fill the brush with powder, then dab on the areas of your hair that need to be revitalized and that's it! It took a minute to get the brush filled with powder while it was new but that is to be expected. One thing I love about the design is that the brush has a twist up shield that also locks the cap in place. This keeps the bristles from becoming bent out of shape and also insures that the product won't spill out in your bag! Brilliant! 

My 5 year old also wanted to try Shampowder. She loved it too! Especially the fragrance. She has asked to use it nearly every day and I will put a little bit in her hair so she can smell the vanilla scent but I am careful to save most of the product for myself (yes I am stingy with the beauty products that I love).

The all in one brush applicator and container is very compact and easily fits in makeup bags and purses. This is a handy product to have in your gym bag after working out. It is also great to keep with you during the work day or while you're out and about on errands. One helpful tip is to keep the brush pointed downwards when you have it stored- this way there is ample powder on the brush when you get ready to apply Shampowder.

Verdict: On a scale of 1-5 Stars, I give Shampowder 5 Stars! It is convenient, helps achieve healthier hair, one tube lasts forever and it really improves my appearance by making my hair look clean and adding body.
